PARENT INFORMATION

The Transportation Department is open every school day from 5:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. or until the last bus comes in.

For inquiries regarding bus times, weather delays, etc. the Maintenance Staff person on duty may be able to answer your questions by calling 830-864-5014 between the hours of 5:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

VEHICLE REQUEST PROCEDURES

The purpose of this procedure is to provide a consistent means of managing, requesting, and utilizing district owned vehicles. The following procedure will be used for requesting the use of all district owned vehicles.

  • In Eduphoria Formspace, Submit New Form. In the General Forms page, choose Vehicle Request Form and complete the form for each vehicle you require. Submit Form
  • After approval from campus principal, Superintendent’s Admin. Asst. and Transportation Director will notify vehicle maintenance.
  • Vehicle Maintenance will make ready the required vehicle and deliver the keys to the Supt. Admin. Asst.
  • The person who is checking out the vehicle should pick up keys, gas credit card (if applicable) and original vehicle request at the Supt. Office during normal business hours prior to the trip.
  • The driver should write the beginning mileage on the original vehicle request before leaving the parking space in Maintenance.
  • Upon Completion of the trip, the driver should write the ending mileage on the original vehicle request and either leave request on the driver seat or bring to the Supt. Office, remove trash from the vehicle (this includes buses) and note any spillages on the paperwork, as well as any problems that were noticed with the vehicle, lock the doors and drop the keys (not the paperwork) in the drop box located on the front and back doors of the Maintenance shop. Please do not leave the keys in the vehicle.
  • If you are planning to leave on a weekend, you need to pick up keys, paperwork, etc. during regular office hours on the last business day prior to your trip or make other arrangements through the Supt. Office or Vehicle Maintenance Department.
  • If you use a vehicle on Friday after hours and it will be used by another person on Saturday or Sunday, do not put the keys in the drop box. Make arrangements with the next driver how to get the keys to them for their trip.
  • The vehicle key rings that are issued out also have a key to unlock the gate to the parking area. Please remember that the gates should be kept locked except during normal work hours.
