Career Preparations/Work-Based Learning

Students who have completed appropriate CTE courses may be eligible to enroll in Career Preparations, Extended Career Preparations, or a CTE Practicum Course. These are all examples of Work-Based Learning. CTE Work-Based Learning provides opportunities for students to: 

  • Apply academic and technical knowledge and skills learned in the classroom in a realistic setting
  • Engage with business and industry professionals
  • Explore and experience potential career options
  • Develop and practice essential employability skills
